    Our running total for the 2016-2017 school year is about 8,350 box tops
    for a total of $835 for our school!!
    The following classes are winners for Phase III and have won a pizza party!!

    We will continue to collect box tops through the end of the school year
    so please continue collecting Box Tops. 
    I will send another reminder of when to send them in.
     Please use scissors to cut around the box tops on the dotted line. 
    Only submit box tops that have NOT expired.

Please read attached document from IA East BuildOn Club. You are welcome to donate books for an Orphanage in Uganda and local schools in Detroit at Bemis Elementary as part of their Book Drive.  There is a collection box in Bemis’s Front Lobby.

M-Step Dates:

The following dates are part of the M-Step Testing Window.  Please minimize testing disruption by not scheduling vacations during the below times:

5th Grade:  April 11 – May 5

3rd and 4th Grade:  April 24 – May 26

Spring 2017 Spirit Wear - New Items, New Logos, and New Designs!

We are excited to announce a new spirit wear company bringing exciting new products and designs to Bemis.  There are no order minimums, and most items can be customized with a name and/or number on the back.  New in 2017 is an online ordering platform for easy ordering.  Traditional order forms will be sent home with students or by printing the form below.  Item samples will be on display in the lobby.

Paper order forms must be turned into the office by Monday, March 7th.  Online orders must be placed by March 8th.  This will allow us to ensure delivery prior to Spring Break.

***Student Illness***

  • If a student has a fever or experiences vomiting, they must be kept at home for 24 hours AFTER the fever or vomiting has stopped
  • Please DO NOT send your child to school if they are contagious.  
  • Any assignments or tests can be made up when they return. 
  • We need to keep sick children from infecting their classmates and teachers. 
  • Please make sure you notify the Attendance Line at 248-823-4101 before 9 am the day of the absence.
